In my (short) teaching career I was lucky to receive several nominations/awards for teaching excellence. In 2016-2017 I was the lucky recipient of the Maarten van Son Junior teaching award. This prize is awarded by the faculty to teachers with less than 5 years of teaching experience. In the academic years 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 I was additionally nominated by Psychology students for Junior Teacher of the Year.
Psychology courses I'm currently involved in:
Applied Cognitive Psychology 2: Psychology Master course in which students learn about the application of Cognitive Psychology. Practical skills include the use of Signal Detection Theory, Bayes' Law, data analysis in R, and image processing in GIMP. For this course, I've developed lectures and hands-on sessions on the problem of representative design of experiments.
Experimentation & Registration 1: Psychology Bachelor course in which students build experiments using OpenSesame, and perform data analysis on eye-tracking and EEG data in Excel.
